Our Story

It all started with a dream… and two guys and a minivan full of skis and snowboards.

After living in Colorado for a couple of years and having mostly bad experiences at the local rental shops when family and friends came to visit in the winter, Shane had a dream of creating a better rental experience.

They had a dream of a rental experience where the staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and most importantly, they listened to the customers. Where lines outside the door did not exist. A dream of no crowds and anxious skiers waiting desperately to get onto the mountain, growing increasingly frustrated with each passing minute. A rental shop where the staff helps customers enjoy their vacations, instead of adding unnecessary stress to what is suppose to be an awesome and stress-free time. Of vacationers looking forward to renting their skis instead of dreading it. Of no mindless and endless paperwork. A dream of renters not having to worry about having to rush back to the shop before it closes to get their equipment back.

Most importantly, Shane wanted people to be able to relax and enjoy their vacations.

In order to achieve all of this, they had to think differently and outside the box. They felt the only way they could create a shop to fulfill this dream and much more was to offer a ski rental delivery service instead of being confined by a traditional brick and mortar shop.

The response to this dream is what you are looking at today, BluBird Rentals. But the story has just begun and there are still a lot more chapters…
